Queerly Beloved: From lesbian couple to husband and wife

Diane-Jacob-200Twenty-three years ago, a lesbian couple – Diane and Suzy – fell in love and made their mark in queer publishing and journalism. Fifteen years into their relationship Suzy transitioned to become Jacob. Unlike many couples who split up in these situations, Diane and Jacob Anderson-Minshall are still going strong. They share their story – no holds-barred – in a new memoir, Queerly Beloved: A Love Story Across Genders. In this interview with Katrina Fox, the pair discuss identity politics, how disability impacts on gender expression, the challenges to their relationship, careers and lives and how they got through it.
