The problem with vitamin supplements

In part one of a series on vitamin supplements, Dr Pieter Dahler warns of the issues surrounding laboratory-chemically-made supplements.

13 March 2011

Is there a difference between naturally derived supplements, and laboratory-chemically made supplements?

I could answer that question with a resounding yes, by stating that laboratory-concocted  supplements are worthless to your body, and knowing that will save you a bit of reading time, a lot of money, and a lot of health problems down your chronological ageing.

But would you want to know how some laboratory created chemicals, called “food supplements”, actually explode your blueprint DNA, and thus have been shown to cause cancer?

Would you want to understand that taking laboratory-concocted supplements into your body is like plugging a 110 volt apparatus into a 220 volt socket…some parts inside you go “Poof”?

Or, do you want know that “swallowing” a coated multi-vitamin-mineral pill whole does very little to nothing for your body?

Or, that taking such pills is to your bio-chemistry like listening to music with the loudspeakers off?... “Can you hear me now?”

Or, that it is like trying to read your e-mail without connecting to the internet?

Do you know what causes the rapid spoilage of some supplements in their bottles as they stand in your pantry?

I will tell you what you can do about that.

I am going to tell you how these forms of supplements erode the lining of your arteries and cause micro-bleeding.

I also will tell you how they disrupt the physiology and critical bio-chemistry of your cells, which disrupts their natural death (apoptosis) and may cause cancer growth initiation.

I am also going to tell you how you can get the benefits from a proper food supplement without actually ingesting it.

You may not have read about these concerns, because some sectors of the supplement manufacturing industry have a deceptive dark secret, just as the Big Pharma has its dark drug secrets which are untold to most of us…even to most medical doctors who prescribe them.

I strongly believe in taking a well-planned regimen of tissue-specific and whole food supplements.

Q: Is there a difference between a “garden in a pill”, and a well-meaning scientist’s concoction?

A: Mother Nature has the upper hand with this question, and the following is why that is so.

First, I urge and recommend to you to visit this website.

Scroll down the long list of 917 distinct micro-nutrients which so far have been discovered in a carrot.

The botanical name is: Daucus carota L. – Apiaceae…as a matter of interest.

Not all those nutrients have clearly measurable amounts that are recordable, but they are there nonetheless…their energy is still there.

This fact also helps determine if it is wise to take a truckload of a nutrient, or can a small amount be of enormous therapeutic benefit.

Please, also visit the “View Activities” link next to the number 917.  You will find that very interesting and relevant information.

Why would there be so many nutrients and their health related activities for them?

I do not know the answer to that, but I am in humbling awe knowing that they are there.

When I hold a carrot in my hand I am holding Mother Nature’s magic in my energy sphere.

How were all these micronutrients discovered? Almost every techniques or analytical method presently known has been used to determine an “analyte” in foods. The technique used depends on the nutrient (analyte).

Einstein postulated that a substance (called a mass / matter) is a physical expression of an energy, a frequency. Everything you see, hear, touch, think, sense, and believe has a very characteristic frequency.

If you have watched on the History Channel their serial programs called The Universe, you saw all those colorful pictures of stars and galaxies. They were all taken by the Hubble Telescope in a method that only recorded frequencies.

The colors you saw on the TV screen were “translated: by imaging teams into those colors.

The various frequencies of minerals, liquids and gasses were given those colors for our eyes to enjoy.  Example: Red for iron, Green for copper, etc.

When a blood sample is tested in a laboratory, the analyzer that is used measures wavelengths (frequencies) on a spectrum, and records them as cholesterol, calcium, iron, and so on.

Usually doctors only ask for a routine 24-test of blood. But, there are a very large amount of other bio-chemicals that could be tested.

Researchers continually discover “new” bio-chemicals in their search for how we function and who we are.

There must be a reason why there are all those synergistic bio-chemicals in our blood. I therefore know that there must also be a reason why a carrot has 917 micronutrients in it…to help it help our bodies work perfectly (and wonderfully mysteriously) for us.

It is all about synergy…working together to accomplish a grand result…our propagation, our health.

Food is so complex. Trying to duplicate it into a confection vitamin pill is something of a fool’s errand. And don’t be fooled by buying into thinking that such pills can give you what your body truly needs.

Consider the carotenes. Beta-carotene is the most well known of the carotenes.  There are several hundred carotenes found in nature and in the naturally derived, unadulterated foods we should be eating.

Take polyphenols, which are another large group of nutrients.  Research suggests that polyphenols provide numerous health benefits…when they come from natural food. Taking only one or two polyphenols in pill form really misses the “nutritional boat.”

There are thousands of polyphenols in hundreds of foods. Polyphenols are found in foods as diverse as apples to tea leaves, and onions to berries.

Can you guess what would happen when a laboratory scientist only takes one of these chemicals (say Vit. C), or even 30 (as may be on a bottle’s label), and created a vitamin pill with them?

From one industry insider I learned that they usually artificially construct the chemical formula and call the structure a “vitamin”.

There is a serious problem with that “reductionism”.

Take four different versions each of Vit. E formulas of Tocopherols and Tocotrienols. These come in natural, complete and synergistic form in mother nature’s pantry. Just like the B vitamins always come in complete complexes in natural foods.

Taking just B-12 for example is worthless because there is no interaction with all the other B vitamins. And if they just put B-12 in a bottle, that tells you that it is an artificial concoction.

Vit Es, Bs and so on have separate functions, and yet have to work together for other functions.

Will they still do their jobs when artificially “created”?

If any part of an enzyme is missing, or not in the right configuration, its frequency has changed.

A frequency change results in non-function by the body as it does not chemically / energetically recognize it.

Think of an old-fashioned, analog wind up watch. Would it work if just one cogwheel inside was missing? Or, would something be a drivable car if you were sold just four wheels and their tires, or it came with a missing steering wheel?

A functioning watch or car is a “system”. If you reduce them to a single item, they are no longer a system.

The “reductionist” approach in food supplements and drug manufacturing is a fool-hardy and a dangerous concept…yet makes billions for the perpetrators of this hype and fraud.

A carrot is a “system” of 917 “parts”.

If you took just one component away from a carrot seed, it would not ever become a carrot plant.  If you heat a seed above 104 degrees F. (40 degrees C) it would not germinate into a carrot either because critical enzymes (= catalysts to start an activity) were destroyed.

A fertilized egg will not produce a chick if you first boiled it, and then put it under the mother hen.

Something has clearly happened, which changed nature’s intent. We changed the life force.

Scientifically, what changed were frequencies of one or many biological substances that are essentially required for a new life.

An overheated enzyme has lost some of its bonds (internal links) that hold it together.

In the complex interactions between all that is in a raw egg, a seed, an uncooked carrot, a watch, a car…something was not functioning harmoniously, not complete any more after we tinkered with it.

It is similar to one or more musical instruments, which during an orchestral performance are persistently “out of tune”. It messes up the whole rendition.

Deep inside your magical bio-chemistry outside on the skin, and inside you and your cells, there needs to be an energetic harmony and compatibility between the parts of the whole…that is meant with “wholistic”.

Next month: Your cells’ outer membranes have antennae on them to recognize the proper foods and type of supplements you are taking.
