Avoiding cancer with the 80/ 20 and 5/ 90/ 80 rules

Dr Pieter Dahler explains how to become aware of and learn how to intercept the ongoing processes of gradual development of the major health challenges we face daily.
Right now, this very moment we all have cells which are becoming cancerous.
The foundations for heart and health challenges are constantly at play inside us all.
By being aware of how you are performing now and how your cells are expressing the smooth and disease intercepting activities they are designed to perform, you can live a life in confidence that you will be and stay healthy and all around well.
For 39 years, our non-profit medical-dental Foundation has collected information of various kinds about the isolated as well as city dwellers, of native populations of Latin America.
Items we are interested in: Family, nutrition, culturally sensitive agriculture, social, work, environment, habits, and ancestry.
Other research sources I was able to access over those years, have provided me with similar information about thousands of people who lived in the Western modernity.
Upon statistical analysis of both sources many important facts were discovered by us.
Here are two of them.
The 80/20 Rule.
You may have had the occasion when you talked to someone at one time who sounded and appeared perfectly normal.
Then suddenly, you heard that this person had soon after that died non-violently, or had a diagnosis of a serious health problem.
What goes on in such a situation?
From the extensive observations by the Foundation and others, of the blood and urine laboratory work-up and many other environmental factors of 450,000-plus people over 50 years, it was found that on average, when 75-80% of an organ or gland has been diagnosed as damaged, only 15-20% of its function is lost.
This is the 80/20 Rule.
But when an additional 10% is damaged, 40-45% of reasonable, survivable function has been lost.
Then, at about 95% damage we learned that 75-80% of critical functions are lost, and a critical, life-threatening tipping point has been reached.
My article in the February 2010 issue of The Scavenger discusses the method used.
If we then find that more than one organ, gland or system also failed toward the 80% level, which it usually is as they have to work together, sudden death or a pre-dire diagnosis is very likely.
That is what is called "Body Symptom Turnover" and it usually happens without a warning.
Before such a point is reached, a person will have been experiencing various signs and symptoms which should have served as a warning.
The take-away message: please do not ignore even minor discomforts, especially if they come often, or have already become chronic.
A well-taken-care-of body and mind is designed to work pain and symptom free.
The other critical population research findings we have made is the 5/90/80 Rule.
We did observations via a thorough, refined analysis of a standard 24-item blood test and a basic urine test on 150,000 people, which is survey #1
We correlated that with an accompanying survey of 223 possible signs and symptoms on survey #2 of all the body systems, as well as with nutrition on the survey #3, intake questionnaire and lifestyle behavior, the survey #4, information.
It revealed, that if only 1 - 5% of the items in the signs and symptoms survey #2 apply to a person, we found 90% unfavorable blood values, the survey #1, that were close to the outer limits, or past the standard medical practice of using "within normal limits".
If then we see improprieties in items in surveys #3 and #4, we can be more certain about the corollary.
We then proceeded to ask such questions as:
Have you seen a health professional for these signs and symptoms recently, or in the past?
Were you planning to see one in the near future?
Do any of those symptoms interfere with your life and pleasures?
Have any of those signs observed, given your choice of health professionals any thoughts of concern at all?
What became more concerning then was that ±80% of those people did not feel badly enough to have sought health-professional help.
Nor did they pay any or much attention to their bodies' outcries and woes.
Apparently the few signs and symptoms they had identified with, were not uncomfortable enough to interfere with family, work or leisure activities.
That is what is called "Conditioned Adaptation".
Early in our 39 years of population research we found out that this is a major reason why people die prematurely.
As you might well think, that is pretty scary, if not quite dangerous to one's immediate healthy future.
It is reasonably accepted that we can live pretty healthy into 100 - 120 years of age.
We find it interesting that the Honda car company does a 150 point check on used cars they plan to re-sell.
Since we are "used" bodies after birth, how many points have you had checked recently?
Read again above how many we can check on survey #2 : 223.
The standard and cursory 6-15 minutes doctor check-ups we are hypnotized into accepting from clinics and their staffs is an insult to the trust you have expressed by visiting such people and expecting them to give you a worthy evaluation of your true health status.
Wealthy, or living the beautiful, primitive and rich lives of our natives, all of us deserve the best of health.
Remember always: Your greatest wealth in this world is your health.
But how many of us do realize that…until it is too late.
Guard it with your life.
Pieter Dahler DDS, MD, ND (hon), PhD was born in 1942 in Indonesia and lived in a jungle setting until 1947. He emigrated to the USA in 1962. In 1971 he graduated from the University of California, San Francisco, Dental School, as a Dentist and in 1974 from the US Navy Post Graduate School in Oral Surgery and Medical Anesthesiology. He was in private dental practice until 1991. Between 1969-1991, he spent vacations in Mexico taking care of a volunteer medical-dental project with a growing force of doctors and volunteers.
He has undertaken three PhDs in subjects related to nutritional-cultural-sociology, from Latin America and in 2002 organized the Foundation for the Development of Healthy Teeth in a Healthy Body, Mexico. The Foundation has a research department for doing and compiling comprehensive native and western population studies. To date, 470 Latin American doctors and thousands of volunteers give their time to 150,000 natives.
